Event Overview

“The Positive Tracks Sweat For Good Games brought our community together to celebrate and fuel the Positive Tracks mission of helping young people use physical activity to take action for the causes they care about. Funds raised through the event directly support our free youth leadership programming, providing young people with the coaching, tools, resources, and support they need to turn their ideas into action, build confidence, strengthen their physical and mental health, and make a difference in their communities.

It doesn’t feel like a traditional nonprofit fundraiser, and that’s very intentional. There are no long presentations or formal sit-down programs. Instead, the Positive Tracks Sweat For Good Games invites people to step out of their comfort zone, participate, and experience the joy and energy at the heart of Positive Tracks. From community members taking the stage to volunteers, sponsors, donors, and local businesses pitching in to make the night possible, the event is truly powered by the community. It’s joyful, a little unexpected, and deeply connected to our belief that doing good can also feel really good.

We used PopUp WiFi in the following ways:

– Online registrations
– Online donations
– Online voting for the lip sync battle for all guests at one time
– Marketing the event live through social media
– Guests and vendors helping us share photos and videos through social media
– Two photo booths where guests were able to text, email and post their photos and videos in the moment
– For Safety – guests and staff were able to make phone calls and text, providing a safe environment
– DJ needed access to a library of songs

Producer’s Comments

“We knew we needed help with the location we chose for the Positive Tracks Sweat For Good Games. The event was in a field in rural New Hampshire at a local recreation area. The field is surrounded by trees and the recreation area is notorious for terrible cell service and spotty WiFi. I did a thorough internet search, read community reviews and explored your website. Eventually, I even asked ChatGPT who could best solve our problems and PopUp Wifi was the resounding winner.

Without PopUp WiFi, our dreams of holding the Sweat For Good Games at the location we chose would not have happened. We would not have had in-person registration, donations via QR code, fun photobooths, online voting for the lip sync battle, social media promotion through Positive Tracks and through those in attendance and, importantly, been able to keep our guests safe.

From the very first conversation I had with Nina and experiencing her can-do attitude, I knew we were going to be a good match. As a nonprofit, the discount we were offered and the ability to share our story for an extra donation were a key factor in hiring PopUp WiFi. The communication around the delivery and set up of the units was very clear and I always felt supported. The troubleshooting we had to do when we learned that the two units weren’t offering enough bandwidth could have been a deal breaker, but the team jumped in immediately to find a solution. The technicians (thank you Oscar) spent time with me on the phone to make sure everything was set up properly and optimized by the event launch. A special touch was the PopRocks we got in our packages!”
