Event Overview
The Long Beach Polar Bear Splash is an annual event for thousands to take the plunge and raise funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish.
Since 2000, the Polar Bears have raised a historic $10 million to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. The Polar Bears are motivated by camaraderie, a touch of madness, and a common goal: To honor young Paulie Bradley’s memory and keep his young spirit alive in others.
Our event is special because thousands of people jump into the freezing cold ocean – and purchase sweatshirts and other unique merchandise!
In addition to the big ocean splash, hundreds of thousands of dollars are raised via selling unique merchandise for Make-A-Wish. Without PopUp WiFi to provide reliable internet to help us overcome the interference and congestion caused by hordes of over 100,000 people on the boardwalk, we would not have been able to raise over $600,000 for Make A Wish.
Producer’s Comments
“I cannot say enough nice things about PopUp WiFi. From the moment I inquired, you all helped me better understand the technology and my specific needs for my unique event (a boardwalk with 1,000000 of people), but when the weather delayed my package, you all (without prompting) sent me a new product to ensure I had a seamless event. I had a handful of questions during the event and your text support was amazing. If a collegue was considering renting from PopUp WiFi, I would say do it – they are the BEST!”
