Event Overview
Founded in 1999 by a group of visionary teachers, Student Television Network was established to support and encourage scholastic broadcasting while providing a collaborative forum for educators to share ideas, ask questions, and learn from industry professionals. Over the past 25 years, STN has expanded its focus to include film, multimedia, and other forms of communication, taught to students in grades 6-12 across middle and high schools worldwide. STN is dedicated to serving teachers and students with year-round support, such as curriculum, career and leadership programs, mentorship, and competitive opportunities.
Producer’s Comments
PopUp WiFi was a cellular system that cost quite a bit less than the regular venue WiFi, and actually did a better job. We used it for registration, in our session and workshop rooms for the students, our live shows, sponsor booths and our contests. With the help of PopUp WiFi, we could have an event that focused on the memories, content creation and the storytelling – not the logistics. The best thing about PopUp WiFi is that we were able to distribute the units exactly where we needed internet, rather than press a button and turn on the whole space. I highly recommend PopUp WiFi for event services. I’ve produced at theme parks and in Hollywood, and now I’m running the national STN Conventions, and I can see that their equipment would be useful for any type of event.
