Event Overview
The 71st Annual Pacific Orchid Exposition was a huge success!! The main show & sale took place at the San Francisco County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park from 2/15-2/18. This year’s theme was “Timeless Orchids, A Journey Through History,” meant to showcase the historical significance of orchids in various cultures and time periods, with displays of orchids alongside artifacts, photographs, and information that highlight their role in art, medicine, and cultural practices throughout history.
The Pacific Orchid Expo is the San Francisco Orchid Society’s main fundraising event of the year and proceeds from the help support our operation as a non-profit organization. For over 70 years the SFOS’s mission has been to foster the culture and conservation of orchids and to promote education of its members and the public about orchids. Our goals include: an exchange of information from exhibitions, publications, and the maintenance of a reference library, and participation in worldwide activities.
