United South End Settlements (USES) is a non-profit organization located in Boston’s South End neighborhood whose programming aims to decrease the causes and effects of poverty from a multi-faceted approach by serving both youth and their parents and caretakers. For more than 131 years, USES has connected families and children to resources, diverse social networks, and high-quality care and education to enable them to thrive.
This year, USES’s annual Neighborhood Gala was held at the Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama on Friday evening, May 10, 2024. The Gala brought together over 400 attendees for an evening of friendship, celebration, and fundraising to support USES’s mission. The event featured special recognition for USES lifetime donors and supporters, gratitude remarks from USES CEO Jerrell Cox, recognition of philanthropic and community contributions through the Philip Dushku Changemaker Award and the Mel King Social Innovator Award, and a vibrant and hugely successful Fund-a-Need led by auctioneer Tom Stebbins.
