Event Overview
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rodeo is one of the few community events that bring together residents, business owners, city and county officials, and law enforcement for one purpose – strengthening community ties and creating just plain fun!
The success of the rodeo and the support from the sponsors has allowed over one-million dollars in donations to be given back to the community. Proceeds from the event continue to support the youth in our community with the ultimate goal of developing them into responsible citizens.
Since 2019, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s PRCA Rodeo has participated in the Golden Circle of Champions. A program conceived to raise awareness and provide funds to help local children battling pediatric cancer. Each year, a special child and their family is chosen to attend and represent our rodeo at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. The rodeo assists with funding for an all-expense paid trip to attend the rodeo and special luncheon event.
Our 2024 rodeo showcased top-tier cowboys and cowgirls certified by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). These elite athletes competed in seven thrilling events, all vying for points to qualify for the prestigious Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
Since 2022, we have used PopUp WiFi to boost our internet speeds. This was done because our current infrastructure and geographic location cannot handle the bandwidth requirements for live video uploads. Our partnership with PopUp WiFi has been instrumental in allowing our rodeo event to be broadcast on the Cowboy Channel.

“For our 2022 rodeo, we were approached with an opportunity to broadcast the rodeo live on the Cowboy Channel. Unfortunately, our location and infrastructure did not provide for sufficient internet upload speed to ensure a successful broadcast. We reached out to PopUp WiFi, expressed our dilemma, and were provided with a comprehensive plan to boost our internet speed.
Just prior to our event, equipment from PopUp WiFi arrived. Setup of the equipment took less than 5 minutes, and just like that, we had more than enough interned speed to provide the Cowboy Channel with live streaming.
Rodeos are a significant part of American culture, particularly in the West. They showcase traditions, skills, and the cowboy lifestyle, attracting audiences who appreciate this heritage. If our internet did not work, we could not live stream the event on the Cowboy Chanel.
