Event Overview

The purpose of the Live Like Sam Gala event was to raise $400,000 for youth well-being and prevention programming and raise awareness on needs of youth mental health, celebrating the life of 16-year-old US Junior national freestyle ski champion Sam Jackenthal.

This night focuses on celebrating each other and our amazing community, in memory of Sam’s love for life and the kindness he shared. Enjoy an evening of incredible food, craft drinks, music, a photo booth, great company, and dancing, all while supporting Live Like Sam’s youth programming initiatives.

The evening features a silent auction, cocktail hour, Live auction, paddle raise, presentations, live music, and a sumptuous catered plated meal.

The venue is a notorious internet black spot, with two event floors and no in-house internet access for the guests to use to place bids and make donations.

Producer’s Comments

“We were notified that the venue’s planned WiFi installation had been canceled four days before our event, and we found PopUp WiFi through our auction software provider, OneCause. PopUp WiFi created an internet solution for our foundation within a day and shipped pre-configured products to our venue in under 72 hours. Without PopUp WiFi’s help, we would have not raised over $100,000 of silent auction revenue on the night. They are an incredibly creative, dynamic, and professional organization.”
