Event Overview
Great Escape is Tasmania’s newest outdoor camping music festival. Our inaugural event was held by the foot of Mount Field National Park in the beautiful Derwent Valley. The sold out event provided patrons a special & unique festival experience. The 2023/2024 edition of Great Escape was held over New Years Even and extended to 2 days. Headlined by world class acts such as Middle Kids, Maddy Jane and Pacific Avenue, the festival was one of Tasmania’s most popular summer events. Patrons were met by a picturesque location ready for an exciting and action packed festival that delivers on all fronts – Great music, Stunning location, Relaxed, Friendly vibe, Delicious local produce, and Affordable drinks.
Producer’s Comments
In such a remote location, there was no reliable way to connect out production team and POS devices. With PopUp WiFi, we were able to create a seamless event network that fit the size and layout of our venue. Food and beverage vendors could connect to a reliable WiFi source and our back-of-house team could easily check-in guests and distribute wristbands. This was our third year using PopUp WiFi and it’s safe to say we’ll definitely be back for a fourth year!
