Event Overview
kunanyi Mountain Run is an epic trail running festival held in nipaluna/Hobart. There are 6 different events across the weekend (Kids run, Vertical Kilometre, 9km Foothills, 25km Mountain Run, 67km Ultra Solo & 67km Ultra Team Relay), with our runHub at Wellesley Park. Attendees were invited to “run with kunanyi” – the famous mountain on Hobart’s doorstep that is rich in culture, history and incredibly diverse landscapes. Across the weekend, we also celebrated stories about mountain culture, including those of the palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal community), who generously welcome and share kunanyi with trail runners.
Producer’s Comments
We needed a robust Internet solution for our event logistics depot in a bit of a dead spot to hold live and interactive video stream volunteer briefings and also for office work including many people on video calls simultaneously. After, we needed to shift to the event site and have robust Internet for online check in systems, Point Of Sale, and fast turn around video media uploads across the 200 meter site. PopUp WiFi delivered all of this seamlessly, and set-up was just plug in and go! Super easy!
